The Maples Inn / Bed & Breakfast

Bed & Breakfast - Bar Harbor, Maine

Built in 1903, the Inn originally housed the wealthy summer visitors to Mount Desert Island. It is located on an attractive residential, tree-lined street. You'll be away from the traffic of busy Bar Harbor, yet within walking distance of quaint boutiques, intimate restaurants, and the surrounding sea.

Acadia National Park, just five minutes away, offers a year round wilderness playground. Come and watch the breathtaking sunset from atop Cadillac Mountain or the crashing waves at Schooner Head. We'll be happy to assist in planning your days on our island.

A hearty breakfast is served each morning in the bright and sunny dining room. Your palate will be treated to gourmet delights and you'll have the opportunity to engage in good conversation with other Inn guests. Afternoon refreshments are served on the front porch in summer and in front of a cozy fire in winter.

All rooms in the Inn feature queen sized beds with fluffy down comforters and a private shower. The 6 room Inn features individually decorated rooms in the Victorian style. The entire Inn has been completely updated, including new heating and hot water systems. Guests have many options to enjoy the Inn: relaxing on the front porch, reading a good book in the library area or sitting in the comfortable living room by the fire.
